2021, July 28-August 2: Stockholm, Sweden
I had vacation and because of Corona I could only travel to Denmark and inside Sweden.
My brother was living in Stockholm at the time and told me if I ever needed a place to stay I could just come but that he would be busy with work.
In 2019 I did go to Stockholm and got to see a bit but not everything I wanted.
I am the kind of person who have no problem walking alone in any big city for 9+ hours a day just seeing things and that is just what I did in Stockholm during the 6 days.
I used a site called atlasobscura that lists many unique things around the world and in this case I looked up Stockholm and found many things I could do.
See list HERE.
At the time my brother lived very close to Brommaplan that is situated about 20 minutes from Stockholm center.
The train system is very easy to use in Stockholm and goes to many places.

Once I arrived we ate some Chinese food near by and I bought some food at a supermarket to have breakfast every day and sometimes dinner when we did not eat out.
Wont talk about all the food but breakfast I had at home.
Lunch I ate out from random restaurants when walking about to eating one time at Skansen.
Dinner we would sometimes eat out and sometimes we just ate at home.
When home we would just relax, play on his Nintendo Switch and talk.
Since he worked from home we could not be out all evening but one evening I was looking to see what free things I could do in Stockholm and found the stand up comedy seen in the image above that we went to the day after.
Remember it very well for all the dirty jokes.

When I was in Stockholm in 2019 I found a place called Hey STHLM: full of Japanese arcades.
Loved it so much that when I was in Stockholm in 2021 we went to it one evening and I went by myself about 2 more times.
With atlasobscura, a power bank, internet, google maps and a 7 day city train ticket I was off to explore Stockholm.
Out the door everyday before 9 am and off I went.
My brother later told me that he was amazed that every day when he woke up before 10 am I was already long gone.
Since I do not remember when I did what I will put everything on this page minus all the museums including Skansen that I will write about in the museum section found HERE.

Medborgarplatsen is a very famous square in Stockholm since its next to the Stockholm central train station.
When people protest about something it usually happens at this square.

One of my favorite stores in Stockholm has always been the sci-fi book store selling many things from books, toys, games and more.
"The park administration"
Always fun to see unique street art.in this case in the form of a unique sculpture.
Read more about it HERE.
On one of the days I wanted to see where I lived (1986-to about 1992) as a kid since I had not seen it in 30 years.

Blecktornsparken sure has changed a lot in 30 years but that was expected.
Was posting stuff to Facebook and my mother told me that I used to live at one address about 2 km away so off I went.

Looked around to see if I could remember the area but even after seeing Nytorget I did not because now it was full of restaurants.
Back then it was a quiet street with an ice cream store.

Looked on google maps for places nearby and noticed that the Pionen Data Center was very close so off I went.
On the way I saw these stairs I found interesting.

Pionen Data Center that looks like a James Bond movie.
After reading on the site it looked very cool but when I actually arrived I could not enter because of Corona.

I remember this very well because when I was walking back to the train I stopped to have this very good shrimp salad at some restaurant.

The site of the mysterious unsolved assassination of the former Swedish prime minister Olof Palme.
The foot was just to show that I was actually at the place.

When I was a teenager and young adult I used to collect something called Warhammer 40.000 where you buy and paint models that you would use in a tabletop fighting game.
Had no one to play with and it was getting expensive so eventually I stopped but it was still cool to find whole store dedicated to it all.

On one of the days I read HERE about Lars-Göran Petrov and the Entombed cross so just had to visit it.
